Made for cozy laps, bedtime questions, and reading together.
From the notebook

Psalm 139:13-14 is on baby-shower cards, but David wrote it with enemies in the room. What 'fearfully' and 'knit' mean, and what the psalm never promises.

Philippians 4:13 was written from house arrest, about being content when hungry. Why the NIV says 'all this,' what Paul meant, and what the verse will not do.

Thirty Bible verses about motherhood (NIV) with a note on each: mothers who speak for themselves, from Lemuel's mother to Deborah and Sarah, God pictured as a mother, the mothers in the stories, and verses for the tired weeks.
Simple tools. A few quiet minutes. Start wherever you are.
A note from the mom behind the notes
I'm not a Christian; I grew up in a Taoist family in Taiwan. But I watched my aunt and the moms around me stand on a few Bible verses through the hardest years of parenting, and I wanted to understand what makes those words so strong. These are my study notes — the meaning of the verses, the stories behind them, and versions I can tell my own kids — with every source linked.
