Prayer Generator: Prayers for Moms, Kids & Hard Days

Short, Scripture-anchored prayers for the moment you're in — a sick child, a lost temper, a sleepless night, a day that needs starting. Pick a situation and pray along.

What do you need to pray about?

Pick a situation above and we'll give you words to borrow until your own arrive.

How to use these prayers

Many Christian moms keep a handful of written prayers for days when their own words won't come. Tap the situation closest to yours and read the prayer — many people find reading it aloud helps. Tap the verse underneath to read it in context. If the prayer isn't quite right, press Another prayer, or copy it and change the words to fit.

Prayers for your child

The For My Child category covers the moments moms ask about most: a blessing to pray over a sleeping baby (Numbers 6:24–26), a sick child, school drop-off, and bedtime. The For a Tired Mom category is for you — the lost temper, the newborn fog, the days you feel like you're failing.

Questions moms ask

Is it okay to pray someone else's words?
Yes. The Psalms are a prayer book God gave His people to pray, and Jesus taught His disciples a set prayer (Matthew 6:9–13). Written prayers are scaffolding — they hold you up until your own words come, and sometimes they say what you couldn't.
Who wrote these prayers?
They were written for this site as a resource — not copied from a book, and not the author's personal prayers. Each follows the common shape of Christian prayer (address, thanks, request, closing in Jesus' name), and is anchored to a Bible verse you can open on BibleGateway.
Can I use these for my kids or at church?
Please do. Copy a prayer, read it at bedtime, print it for a baby dedication or a small group. No attribution needed.
What if my situation isn't listed?
Pick the closest category and adapt the words — change “child” to your child's name, “today” to the thing you're facing. Then open the Prayer Journal and write down what you asked for, so you can mark it when God answers.
