Browse by situation instead
If you'd rather read than search, each theme has its own page with every verse, a short note on who wrote it and why, and the articles that go deeper: anxious, need strength, need peace, need hope, trusting, grateful, love, motherhood.
How to use the Verse Finder
Type a single word that names what you're feeling. "Afraid" will surface Isaiah 41:10 and Psalm 56:3; "tired" brings up Matthew 11:28 and Isaiah 40:29. Or tap a theme to browse. Every result links to BibleGateway so you can read the verses around it — context is what turns a quote into a promise.
A note on pulling verses out of context
A verse finder is a doorway, not a destination. Jeremiah 29:11 was written to exiles facing seventy years in Babylon, and Philippians 4:13 is about contentment in hunger as much as in plenty. Neither becomes less true when you know that — they become truer. So when a verse lands, click through and read the chapter.
